minamalist art. . .
. . . gets my minimal appreciation.
Went to the Hirshhorn gallery in D.C. yesterday where they had a minimalist exhibit. Can’t say I get it. A line of rocks piled in a long, rectangular pile. Hmmmmmmmmmmmm. On the wall is a string of 5×7 photographs taken from a camera mounted on a tripod, unmoved, looking out a window at nothing particularly interesting, set at the same exposure for a period of 24-hours, so most frames are either under or over exposed and only a few being correct.
I liked the big, naked man sulking in the corner.
Shiny things attract my attention.
This shiny object attracted everybody’s attention. The Hope Diamond is one big rock.
