I’ve lost count how many times I’ve shot the Husker football team, volleyball team, baseball team, wrestling team — you get the point – out performing community service. However, I can count the number of times they made a picture: One.
I got two frames off before somebody in the room thought they would help me out by turning the light on. This was the first.

Headed south to Manhattan for the KSU game on Saturday. Spent the night with Travis at his home in Wichita. Had an excellent dinner at a Latin restaurant and bacon for breakfast — a Travis specialty.

Not the roomiest of accommodations in the KSU press box. Room enough for Heidi to play on my iTrip.

I tried something different, for me, at the state cross country meet today. I hoped at least one runner would not be blurred while shooting at slow shutter speed. Can you find her? Bigger is better in this instance I suppose. Opinions?

We only cover a couple of cross country meets a year, I think mostly to say that we did. Unfortunately, my favorite picture was from the junior varsity race so it’s usable only to me.

The cynic in me, who is large, worries about getting pictures like this the very first game of the season because it sets my expectations so high. I suppose it’s better than not having shot them.
No face-mask penalty called.

Yes, he made the catch, for a first down no less.
